A young camper bathes alfresco in a bucket while visiting Yosemite National Park with her family. Although 95% of the 759,620 acres are wilderness, California's Yosemite draws about four million visitors each year, and most tourists spend the majority of their time in the seven square miles of Yosemite Valley.
Established in 1864, Yosemite is best known for its waterfalls, giant rock faces that surround deep glaciated valleys, grand meadows and ancient giant sequoias.
